Black Swan

WOW this movie was phenomenal. Terrifying, thrilling, dark, and haunting.

Everything I usually dislike in a movie, but I have to admit this one is a winner.

I decided to go see Black Swan tonight after all the hype with it being nominated, and Natalie Portman winning the Golden Globe. Originally I was too scared to see it (not the scary movie type), but I decided I would give it a shot and see what all the talk was about.

The story line was obviously interesting, but I think another aspect that caught my attention and pulled me in was the dancing and the dynamic world of dance. I used to dance ballet seriously in high school and so many memories came rushing back to me as I watched this film.

Everything about this movie was intense from the very beginning scene until the very end. Well done, Natalie Portman! Magnificent performance. Bravo.

trader joe’s cinnamon buns

SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.

I picked these up last week to make for my MLK day breakfast. I dreamed and dreamed of these puppies all weekend long and when the day finally came it was everything I hoped for and more. So soft and sugary, one of the best things TJ’s has to offer! Go pick some up and make them this weekend. They are the best!!

sundance…

Here is some really nice jewelry I found at Sundance, a kind of earthy clothing and jewelry company whose catalog graces my mailbox every so often. My mom has given me some really nice earrings and necklaces from Sundance for my birthday and Christmas and I often get many compliments!

I prefer the jewelry to the clothes, only because the clothing has more of a rustic, flowy, country look, that is not particularly “me”. The jewelry is really beautiful, and I often find pieces I really like while flipping through the catalog pages.  It’s a great place to buy a nice gift for someone, as their jewelry is unique and special.

Check it out online and see if there’s anything for you or someone you love!
