spring has sprung

It’s official. Spring has sprung here in Beantown and I couldn’t be happier. This is one of the most perfect times in New England and I’m glad to witness the glorious change of the seasons. I very often say I don’t like winter, but without it, spring wouldn’t be nearly as special now would it?

What are you up to this weekend?

Today I’m out celebrating my dear friend Katharine and her upcoming wedding… it’s a busy day with her bridal shower and bachelorette party later tonight. A weekend of dress up and champagne: my favorite!

happy Royal Wedding day!

Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! William and Kate are tying the knot! Lucky for me (today at least) I get up for work around 5 every day anyways, so you better believe I’m watching the coverage right now. Might have to stay here on my couch a little bit longer to make sure I get a glimpse of Kate walking down the isle in her dress!

EXCITING!!!!!!!!

I’ve really enjoyed watching all the people come in this morning. Queen Elizabeth has just entered the church as I type. I just adore Prince Harry and think he’s the cutest. It’s amazing how many people are in the park witnessing this event…. thousands!!

Ahhhhhh I just caught a glimpse of Kate in her car!

The thrill!

Happy Wedding Day William and Kate!

37 days.

My apologies for being MIA this week. I’d been so good about posting too! This week has been hard for me getting back into the swing of work. Last week’s vacation was such a dream I think I may have spoiled myself a little too much with all that sleeping in and doing nothing. Most nights this week I’ve been too tired after work to do anything but fall asleep quicker than you can say “I can’t wait til summer”.

I adore my first graders, but they’re all ready for summer too, I think.

There is so much to do before the year is up it makes my head spin. I can’t believe there’s only 6 weeks left! My how it’s all flown by. The changes I’ve seen over the course of this year are amazing. They can read, they can write, their more engaged and excited about learning than ever. YAY! I’ve done the best job I can do and I’m proud of those little cuties.

Here’s to keeping the momentum going until the end….

37 more days!!

happy easter!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I love Easter. Not only for the smidgens and Easter cupcakes, but because it’s a time to spend with family. Since I went off to college I have been coming home for Easter to spend time at home. I’ve been lucky enough this year that my April vacation has fallen the week before Easter Sunday. I’ve been relaxing like it’s my job, sleeping in, and being lazy as lazy can be.

I’ve been helping my mom make (aka mostly just eating the batter) her famous sugar cookies and Easter cupcakes too! Today we’ll have my aunt, uncle, and cousins over and have a feast with more food than we can all possibly eat! I can’t wait to dress in my best, head over to church, and celebrate this glorious day.

Have a hoppy one! xo
