to my fellow teacher friends…

I meant to post this last night, but was overcome with exhaustion. This break comes at such a perfect time. My body and mind both need the time off and I will gladly take it! I will just be relaxing next week, both here in Boston, and in Syracuse where I grew up, and I can’t wait to just hang around reading blogs, going to yoga, catching up on neglected books, and watching movies and television.

I am truly going to take a “break” in every sense of the word and hopefully come out refreshed and ready to finish off the school year strong.

If you’re an educator, enjoy your week! It’s well deserved!!

things i saw, things i love

Happy weekend, friends!!! Hope you enjoy these gems I came across this week….

xoxo!

What an adorable idea for a party or celebration! I love the DIY chalkboard signs. Cutest seen @ heygorg.com

If I could wake up in this bed my world would be complete. LOVE the hanging paper balls! I wonder if they light up? Love the wooden walls, LOVE the bedding! To die for! Spotted at Beach Bungalow 8

Are rain boots suffocating you in warm spring weather? As much as I love my Hunter Boots, I know sometimes I feel like they are suffocating me. Check out these adorable ballet flats I saw on Pinterest via Real Simple. They’re plastic, which means they are perfect for the rain, AND they can be recycled once worn out!

Speaking of shoes, I think these peep toes spotted at ETSY are just about the most divine heels ever. No words for these beauties. Just my favorite.

Lately I have been itching to make a casserole. Something different and delicious and I think this goat cheese and swiss chard casserole might be just the ticket to please my casserole-loving heart. I am OBSESSED with goat cheese (ie like to eat it with a spoon), and I hope to make this recipe from The Kitchn soon! YUM!

I found this gorgeous photography by Rachel Papo featuring costumes from the NYC Ballet’s Nutcracker. To me, there is nothing more fascinating and stunning than the art of ballet and I have extremely fond memories of dancing and performing (in the Nutcracker!) from my high school years. I love this picture. It captures the “behind the scenes of a dressing room” perfectly.

And last, but certainly not least are these perfectly small zipper pouches from Gussy Sews. I love all of Gussy’s work and these pouches would be perfect for loose change or lip gloss. The prints and patterns are so pretty and, of course, I can’t help but love the ruffles.

Hope you’re Saturday is lovely. It’s pretty grey here and awfully cold and windy, so I’ve been sitting around/napping all day. Just what weekends are for!

good morning

Good morning! I was happily greeted with this yummy looking picture when I headed over to RueLaLa this morning. I thought it was so cute!

I was browsing the site after I got am email that one of their shops was Jack Rogers! I live in my Jack Rogers sandals in the summer, so I was excited to see what was available. I crossed my fingers I’d fine something good and yes yes yes did I ever.

I instantly fell in love with these ballet flats. The color is amazing and I love the big circle on the toe. These are beautiful!

Just my luck that they were already sold out by the time my eyes fell in love. OH well! It’s still Saturday and the very first day of my vacation so not much can bring me down at the moment.

Have a great weekend!
