golden globe favorites

It was so fun to watch the Golden Globes last night! The fashion is the highlight for me… here are my most favorite looks from the red carpet:

Claire Danes has always been my favorite actress. The very best in my opinion. Always and forever I will love her and she didn’t disappoint last night. She looked AMAZING.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning in her fully sequined dress. So sleek and beautiful!

Julianna Margulies looks so simple and perfect. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her dress. Love how she wore only simple (lovely) studs. A classic look that is ultimately the winner for me.

Here are just a few more that made my heart skip a beat…

Diana Agron looked so so elegant. I love the pale dress with her pale skin. Beauty.

Olivia Wilde’s dress is like a dream come true, that I am sure of. A more rockin’ version of Cinderella’s ball gown. And I adore it.

Everyone looked beyond gorgeous. Congratulations to all the winners!

cottage happiness

This is love…

Just thought I would bring you some cheerful photos from a gorgeous beach cottage in California, featured in House Beautiful, on this chilly New England morning…

I can practically feel the warm breeze blowing through the open windows. Take me there.

Happy Monday!!

I ♥ Vermont

What a terrific weekend in Vermont!

I love Vermont. It’s such a special place filled with red barns, covered bridges, ben and jerry’s ice cream, a favorite college friend, and really fun skiing!!

Zan and I drove up after work on Friday and headed straight to Burlington, where we spent the night with Julie, a roommate from my beloved “Brickhouse” in college. Jules had homemade beef stew waiting for us when we arrived. It tasted just perfect after our long drive and we spent the evening catching up on what’s new and reminiscing about the old.

Saturday it was up and at ’em as we headed up to Sugarbush for a day of skiing.

Perfect weather and lots and lots of snow!

The snow was amazing, by our standards, and the many “locals” that we talked to on the lifts while we headed up to the top of the mountain.

Here are some neat pictures I took from my phone’s retro camera app… love the vintage look!

On Saturday night we stayed at an adorable B&B, The Inn at Lareau Farm, just a few miles from the mountain. The house was so cozy, with ample snacks and beverages meant just for the guests, extremely comfortable beds, and perfectly hot and wonderful showers (which felt particularly terrific after a long day of skiing). The breakfast was an omelette of our choosing (MMm!), and  the Inn prides itself on being a working farm, using only organic produce and sustainably raised meats.

Highly recommended if you’re ever looking for a place to stay over a skiing weekend! We couldn’t have been happier! How was your weekend? Hope it was a good one!

Headed to the mountain

I’m headed up to Vermont for the weekend to go skiing!! This will be my first time this winter and I’m really looking forward to hittin’ up the slopes. Zan and I are visiting Jules in Burlington tonight and then we’ll be spending Saturday and Sunday at Sugarbush. Woohoo!

Have a great weekend!
