making my camera pretty

As you may be aware, through my many raves, I am in love with my new camera. I want to take it everywhere and take pictures of everything. Heck, I would sleep with it if I wasn’t too scared to break it during the night.

Once, at a previous wedding, I remember the photographer had the most adorable camera strap. I loved the look and remember thinking what a cute idea that was. Today, I went looking for a camera strap of my own, and ETSY was where it was at.

Isn’t it perfect? I’m in love. I can’t wait for it to arrive in the mail!

My most favorite part, besides the fun fabric, is the little pocket where you can keep your lense cap. This is absolutely the most wonderful invention in the world since I have probably misplaced my lense cap 25 times since I’ve owned it (which has been about 3 weeks).

I bought my camera strap from PrettyNPreppy via her Etsy shop. What I like about this shop, compared to others I looked at is the fact that you can personalize your strap with any fabric you like (as long as it’s in their fabric shop). They have loads of pretty and fun fabrics to choose from!

pretty colors…

The other night I decided to head over to Boden, to take a peak at what they have in store this 2011. This clothing company always puts a smile on my face with their bright colors and classic lines. Patterns and colors are totally my thing- so everything about these clothes make me happy.

Here are my favorites!

I am simply loving the yellows and pinks as always. They are just so cheerful, especially in this full-blown winter we are in the midst of. Also, a girl cannot live without stripes. I love the navy blue and white striped casual tunic. So perfect to throw on in late spring and summer.

Do you think I need a trip to the beach? I’d say.

Hope you’re finding ways to brave the cold… this is my medicine!

snow, snow and more snow

Today was quite the winter wonderland here in Boston.

I did very little on my planned out snow day list, except shovel my car.

Ellen wasn’t on due to storm coverage and the food project didn’t get done due to a power outage (11 am – 5 pm!). I did manage to read some, but mostly I was taking pictures of all the white!!

The power outage was a bit of a bummer at first, until LJ had the fabulous idea to make mimosas and play Catch Phrase. Ended up being a really fun afternoon!

Cheers for snow days!

it’s an ice cream world and you’re in the middle of it now

Best ice cream place EVER: Cabots!

I was first introduced to Cabots through Zan’s family, as this is their favorite place to go for celebrations (i.e. graduations and such) and also sometimes just for the heck of it. I try to be around for each and every time they plan on going, because it is sooooo tasty. Not to be mistaken for healthy food, because it is far from it. But tasty like nothing else. The best part about this diner is it’s classic feel. Definitely like you’ve stepped back to simpler days.

Actually, I take that back. The best part about this diner is the Danielle’s Choice Sundae. It’s insanely big and INSANELY good.

I get it every single time without fail.

Here, you will see why…

Fun fact: I can finish the whole entire thing. By myself.

YUM!!!

Take a drive over to Newton and get yourself one of your own. You will not regret it. I never do.
