Yeah, you!
I heart this a lot.
Happy spring, dear readers! Although this week has been quite a dreary one, I’m just hoping this means that sunshine and flowers are on their way. I’ve gotten to do a good amount of blog reading while I’ve been on vacation this week, and it’s been great. I’m amazed at how many blogs are out there in this virtual world of ours and I keep discovering new and more wonderful ones all the time.
Here are some of the things I’ve seen and loved this week…
The flowers in this bucket are my most favorite colors. I’m so in love with all kinds of shades of orange and pink. I even love the red thrown into the mix here! (photo from The Bottom of the Ironing Basket)
You must check out this homemade cheesy cracker recipe over at little white whale. I love the Noak’s Ark animal shapes, and the recipe seems easy and delicious!
What an adorable idea for a thank you spotted on You Are My Fave. Candy in a jar! Are those peachy-o’s I see? Yummmmm.
Seeing this photograph makes me yearn for summer. I can’t wait til the air is warm and the breeze feels wonderful after a hot summer afternoon. Summer is my happy time and I am counting the days! Photo found at For Me.
These brown butter toasted coconut chocolate cookies look devine over at Joy the Baker. Whew! That’s a mouthful of a cookie name, but it doesn’t get much better than that. I can’t wait to try baking these soon.
What a great collection of spring vintage fashion seen over at Paper Morning. I love the green dress and the Kate Spade purse! Also, I’ve been tempted to pick up that cookbook from Anthropologie on a number of occasions, but have yet to make the final move. Might just have to the next time I am there!
And lastly, here’s a dreaming look at a cherry blossom tree via Meg’s Musings. They are about to burst into bloom around DC and I wish I could be there to witness the magic.
Happy Friday, everyone! xo
Isn’t this sweater precious?
This sweater is reason # 89 why I love twitter. One day I was just tweeting along, reading people’s tweets here and there and everywhere and the next thing I knew, this sweater was MINE.
Allllll mine.
Jane from Simple Pretty was having a tag sale and was advertising via her twitter account. She posts clothes and other items through a special blog she has created: Simple Pretty Tag Sale, and it’s from this blogspot that she sells her clothes. Quite a novel idea actually, and she’s got enough followers that this method works.
I should really do this.
I have waaaaaay too many clothes.
Cardigans are specifically my downfall.
I should count how many I have. It would probably make us all sick.
Regardless of how many cardigans I currently own, I went and bought Jane’s cashmere cardigan off her tag sale blog. Because I just plain and simple couldn’t help myself. And although I didn’t really need another cardigan, technically, this golden cashmere beauty was too good to pass up.
So pass it up I didn’t, and happily, it now belongs to me:
I LOVE it. Thanks, Jane!!
I recently saw this photo in House Beautiful, and then again on the Nate Berkus show just a few days ago. I absolutely adore the look. But painting wood floors? This one through me for a loop. Aren’t wood floors a luxury? Something everyone wants for their home, but can’t always have? SO then why would you, how could you, just possibly go and paint them!
Well I suppose if you get a room looking like the one above, then you might want to. Goodness I love it. It’s like something out of a fairy tale. My fairy tale. The colors are right up my alley and it has a sophisticated look, yet still very playful. J’adore!
Here are some more very well done jobs in the land of painting floors…
I do really love what I see, but it would take a lot of hard work, a lot of dedication, and a lot of guts to make your floors look like these. It’s something you wouldn’t just be able to change up when you wanted to. You’d have to live with it, and like it for a very long time. It’s a bold move, and probably a crazy idea to some, but they sure are beautiful aren’t they?
I’m torn.
It’s such a unique look. I love the stenciling. Pretty!
Painting your floors is a bold statement, which I admire and am drawn to as I decide on what my own personal decorating style is. I don’t know if I’d ever have the guts to do it, but what an amazing space you’d have if you did paint your floors. A splash of color or pattern to brighten your days. I’ve decided I really do like this painted floors look. I think it fits my personality, but for now, I’m still in the land of apartment living with white walls and wooden floors. I’ll just have to find my color elsewhere in the meantime, which I never have too much trouble doing!
