Archives for June 2011

friends.

I took a survey last night updating my beloved college, Hobart and William Smith, on what I am up to now in my life. I believe it’s for a research study where they track what alums are doing with their lives and document how the colleges contributed to who we are as people now.

The survey was interesting to me in a couple of ways, but the questions that got me thinking the most were the ones about friendships.

My answer for both questions was on the high side, especially for number 1, and this is something I am very thankful for. I am thankful and humbled by my ability to form friendships in my life that are meaningful and genuine. I have found friendship with people in each stage of my life and I hold those people very near and dear to my heart with each passing day and with each passing year.

I feel blessed with the memories we have made and will continue making.

I feel blessed with the connections that I have found and the bonds that are true.

I feel blessed with the experiences that I have been through with my friends and believe that it is these experiences that have shaped me into the solid person that I am today.

And for this I am truly thankful.

Thank you, my dear friends, for all that you do and everything that you are.

You mean the world to me. ♥ ♥

indeed.

Yes, it is a good morning.

Two and a half more days of school. Then summer vacation is mine.

A very good morning indeed.

Happy Friday!

oh, happy day!

Oo la la!!! Oh Happy Day is giving away a trip to Paris! C’est magnifique!

You should probably enter to win. Because you’d be crazy if you didn’t. I’ve had decent luck this year in the blog-giveaway scene. Could this be the icing on the cake?

I’ll be hoping and dreaming and “pretty, pretty pleasing” all the livelong day.

tiny and precious

Meet Hope Elea!

She’s the newest and sweetest addition to our family, my cousin Haley’s little baby girl. She’s so so tiny and ever so precious. At just over two weeks old, she hasn’t even made it to 6 lbs yet. Tiny, tiny, tiny. Her newborn clothes are just starting to fit her. I’ve never seen and held a baby so small. It’s such a wonderful miracle.

Meg, my mom, and I went to Greenwich this past weekend to hold and cuddle this sweet joy. I took this mini-photo shoot of Haley and Hope right before I left on Sunday. I love how they match and think Hope’s little flower is so cute!

Congratulations, Hale. She’s perfect.

We’re in love!!
