The holiday season is always a great excuse to have a party. And this particular party was nothing short of the best of the best. Hands down. I loved it. Every single bit of it.

I’m pretty sure throwing parties is one of my favorite parts of life. I get totally excited and SO into it. Clearly.
I decked out the dining room in twinkle lights and glitter garland. We had the turn table playing the whole night and there was drinking and dancing to boot. We didn’t worry about making food, instead we just stocked up on Costco and Trader Joe’s goodies. And we didn’t worry about making noise either. It was perfect.
I decided the morning of the party that I wanted to make a Smilebooth. You know, the ones you see at weddings and such? I went to Target and bought some sweet frosted bulbs, and then cut up some tinsel to make a garland backdrop. It took me less than an hour and it was the best part of the party…
I think it’s safe to say everyone had a blast. If a messy house the next morning is the evidence of a good party, then ours was GREAT.

As far as the photobooth goes… I just tacked a sheet up to the wall (there is a sliding door closet behind it) and then strung the lights over the tacks. Then I made the garland with some of Zan’s fishing line. I just cut a tinsel garland into shorter pieces and draped them over the fishing line– then I tacked that to the wall, too. I just had my camera out, and everyone took turns taking the pictures! It was very casual, but I think it turned out awesome. I’m so glad I did that!
Oh. Mah. Gah. So unbelievably adorable. I am in love and sort of mad I didn’t throw a holiday party. And how cute is your apartment? Smilebooth & not making food…genius. You’re awesome!
Yeah, the not making food is so key. No stress at all, only fun!
What a fun party!! The photobooth was SUCH a good idea. Too often at parties we don’t get enough pictures and with a *Smilebooth* you get pictures of everyone who was there! Fun ones too!

The smile booth was a great choice and I bet everyone was happy to have cute holiday pictures. I always like making appetizers but it can be stressful for a party so I commend you for doing Costco and TJ’s. Great job! How fun!
