five hundred!!

I can hardly believe it’s true. I’ve been blogging regularly for a whole year an a half now and I’ve come to my 500th post. CRAZY! I honestly didn’t know when I started my blog that I would enjoy it as much as I do, but it’s become a really significant hobby of mine. I never even so much as kept a diary (although I did attempt on more than one occasion), and here I am typing away with each passing day.

I hope you’ve enjoyed it! There is more to come and I can’t wait…

a rockin’ new years…

So I know it’s the 10th of January, and this is coming a bit late, but better late than never right? This year for New Years Eve, Zan, Meg, our good friend Andrea, and I made a plan to go to The Liberty Hotel in Beacon Hill. It was truly a top notch choice for one of the most talked-up nights of the year.

Meg’s boyfriend, Josh, works at the Liberty and so we were able to get tickets easily (and free too!). What a perfect place to spend New Years Eve. Oh so posh. The theme was a masquerade ball, so we got all dressed up, put on some glamour masks, and headed to the party. SO FUN!

Starting the celebration off with a little vintage bubby…

Shortly after the ball dropped I, in true Nanner fashion, dumped out all the contents of my purse. Clearly, I felt a dance was appropriate. Of course!

An excellent time had by all! I know I’ve already said this, but I’m saying it again… Happy New Year!

Hope yours is going well so far!

for rebecca on her birthday…

I started this “happy birthday” tradition last year and felt so darn good about it I’m going to do it again in 2011. I used to be that girl that forgot all my friends’ birthdays. Key term being, used to. Not anymore, dear friends. Last year my resolution was to be a rememberer of birthdays. And I did it (go me!), and it stuck (like glue). My brain just lights up now. Today, for instance, just seconds ago really, I popped up from my seat and exlaimed, “IS TODAY JANUARY 4th?!”. To which Zan said slowly (and kind of like he was worried), “Yeeees.”… and I just started jumping up and down giddy as if it was my own birthday because I remembered. I remembered!

So Rebecca, today is your day! Cheers! Hope today was super and that your year is fabulous. I love you love you love you and can’t wait to see you next! Happy Birthday, Beck! xo!

Oh, and come back to Boston already!

Hannah and Todd! ♥♥♥

I am happy to report that my camera cord arrived in the mail this afternoon. This now means that I can post pictures about many different events that have occurred over the weeks since my old camera cord decided to go MIA on me. Yes, yes, many different events but MOST IMPORTANTLY….

Hannah and Todd’s WEDDING!!!!

What a celebration! What a ceremony!

This wedding was soooooo special. I truly believe it to be THE MOST touching wedding I have ever been to. I think in part it’s because Hannah and Todd have have such a history (10 years!), but mostly it’s just because Hannah and Todd are awesome people aaaand I simply just love their love.

Love it. Love it. Looove it.

Here are some of my favorite pics from the weekend in Maine…

The night of the rehearsal was super fun! We had drinks and dinner at a delicious restaurant in Yarmouth, ME. Also, this was the night of my birthday– and they surprised me with a cake!

The morning of the Big Day we went over to the site of the reception, which was held at a really cool old warehouse!! The room that the dinner and dancing took place in was so gorgeous, with exposed brick walls and windows looking out onto the harbor. Hannah did much of the planning herself, so the bridesmaids spent the morning putting all the details together and making the place look spectacular!

I love this picture from the night Todd proposed to Hannah!

Glad to have been there– it was glorious!

All set and ready to go!

Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from the ceremony, because I was IN it, but it was so unique. SO personable and emotional. I had the happiest feeling inside the whole time.

There was a poem by e.e. cummings–

I carry your heart with me,

I carry it in my heart.

A heartfelt story about Hannah and Todd’s journey together.

And Hannah and Todd’s friend Maya played the piano, while another friend sang “You and Me” by the Dave Matthews Band (!).

They wrote their vows together and throughout the whole ceremony there were happy tears all around.

The ceremony was just SO “Hannah and Todd”. That’s the best way to describe it.

From the ceremony and pictures we headed to the party in style and the celebration began!… and a true celebration it was. Brickhouse girls were together again and the dancing and singing was out of control.

What a terrific day!

CONGRATS HANNAH AND TODD!!
