a happy, happy birthday.

Rewind back to summer for two seconds while I look back on one of my very favorite pictures of me and Zan.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, old guy!

Just wanted to take a little time on this here blog to show the world how much you mean to me.

Thanks for always making me laugh and letting me be my goofy dancin’ self around you.

Thanks for your delicious cooking (YUMmers).

Thanks for pushing me to try new things and for appreciating the things I love too.

Thanks for putting up with my decorating obsession, for letting me have my way, and for taking your stuff to the man-cave.

Thanks for being you.

And thanks for loving me.

Hope you enjoyed that sticky sticky bun this morning!

Cheers to another sweet year. Happy 28! ♥

happy halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Yesterday afternoon I spent the day strolling Beacon Hill. I think this is one of the things I like to do most in Boston. I love walking on the cobblestone streets in Louisburg Square, stopping into shops on Charles Street, and exploring the old brownstones on the hill. Halloween is an especially fun time to visit this historic area because many houses are decorated with pumpkins and cobwebs to the nines.

And if you’re up for it, take the Boston By Foot Halloween tour of Beacon Hill at 5:30 PM tonight. It’s sure to be a spoooooky time.

Linking up today!

for my sister. ♥

Happy Birthday to my amazing sister!

I love you more than words. ♥

a birthday dinner!

So my birthday was a month ago today, and I think it’s probably about time I posted the pics from my dinner out with friends, don’t you think? I’m really just stretching out my birthday as long as I can, obvi! For by birthday I sent a Paperless Post out to a couple of close Boston friends and we had a great night out at Toro (my faaaaaavorite restaurant in Boston). I love this restaurant for the food and the atmosphere. It never fails me and this night was no different. Here are the pics– finally!

All pictures were taken with my Nikon D3100, and then filtered through Instagram. I’m loving the new Amaro filter. Juuuust loving it.

Linking up with a {little} dash of ash…
