snow.

“It’s snowing!”, said boy with dog.

“No snow”, said radio.

“It’ll melt”, said woman with umbrella.

Then one flake turns into two, then two to three, on and on until the whole city is filled with glorious white snow. “Dancing playing, there and there, floating, floating, through the air.”

A lovely book that will spark the child within you, bringing you back to that magical first snow fall. And after the last few days we’ve had here on the east coast, it only seems fitting. Hope you are finding ways to enjoy the snow. I am finding plenty of ways to enjoy my new cozy socks, warm cocoa, and my mom’s famous sugar cookies. Since we’ve no place to go… let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Alistair’s 5!!

This past sunday I headed over to Charlestown for my little monkey’s 5th (!!) birthday party. I was Isabel and Alistair’s nanny on that lovely October day 5 years ago and was there the morning Alistair came home from the hospital… a teeny, tiny bundle of joy. I can’t believe how time has flown. Both Isabel and Alistair are the sweetest siblings I know. They are just the best of friends and the happiest little people alive. My love for them is too big for words.

Happy Birthday, Monkey!

Little People: Good Times, Great Oldies

Finding this this picture of this house just brought me back to some of the happiest times of my childhood. My most favorite thing to do between the ages of 5-10 was play with my Fisher Price Little People.

Oh, nostalgia, how I love you so!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

These Little People were better than any other toy out there. Better than Barbies, better than Popples (although I did LOVE my Popple), better than Easy Bake Oven.

And so, of course, I have spent approximately the past 45 minutes, searching the google images for all pictures of my beloved Little People and the parts to their little town. Below are the images I found that make me giddy with joy.

The school bus… hey little students!

The barn…. LOVED the rooster’s perch.

Parking garage!

And obviously, my favorite, the school. Because I always wanted to be a teacher.

This just made my week. I don’t know if you played with Little People or not, but if you did hopefully it will make yours too!

These things are fun, and fun is good.

“If you never did, you should. These things are fun, and fun is good.” -Dr. Seuss

How cute are these cupcakes?!?!!

We have been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss lately in 1st grade. It’s been fun so I thought I’d share this with you… I’ve always loved this quote from Cat and the Hat.

Have a terrific weekend!!
