tiny and precious

Meet Hope Elea!

She’s the newest and sweetest addition to our family, my cousin Haley’s little baby girl. She’s so so tiny and ever so precious. At just over two weeks old, she hasn’t even made it to 6 lbs yet. Tiny, tiny, tiny. Her newborn clothes are just starting to fit her. I’ve never seen and held a baby so small. It’s such a wonderful miracle.

Meg, my mom, and I went to Greenwich this past weekend to hold and cuddle this sweet joy. I took this mini-photo shoot of Haley and Hope right before I left on Sunday. I love how they match and think Hope’s little flower is so cute!

Congratulations, Hale. She’s perfect.

We’re in love!!

Happy Mother’s Day!

This weekend was a really special weekend. Meg and I drove down to Greenwich to spend a “ladies weekend” celebrating Mother’s Day and hosting my cousin Haley’s baby shower. It was a perfect weekend and we were blessed with delicious food, wonderful weather, and my favorite company– my family!

Haley got so many nice (and adorable) outfits and other essential goodies for her soon-to-be brand new baby girl. I’m so grateful I could help her celebrate this weekend and spend time with her before her little one comes into this world!

Here are some pics from our lovely baby shower by the sea…

I’m so happy my sister and I were able to spend Mother’s Day with our mom. And it was extra special to be with our Grammy, both our aunts, and our two cousins. A real treat for us this year!

To the best mother in the world… I LOVE YOU, MOM!

AND GRAMMY!

This was a cute picture we took right before our drive back to Boston. It just so happened we were all wearing matching colors! I love it!

See you soon, Haley and Leah! Can’t wait til little H is here!!! Love to you both!

XO.

Lake Placid

It’s was pretty hard for me to go back to work this past Monday morning. Now I’m back into the swing of things, you know, it being Thursday and all, but Monday was VERY hard.

Vacations are awesome, but it’s totally the worst when they’re over.

This vacation was especially nice because I did three different mini trips in one week. Sweeet sweetness.

First, Charlotte.

Then, Syracuse.

And last, glorious last, Lake Placid.

This part of my trip was especially fun because I not only got to spend time with my family and Zan, and Zan’s brother Erik, and Josh, but I got to see my cousins too! We spent the weekend relaxing by the fire place, visiting the Olympic Ice Arena, and enjoying the quaint village filled with adorable shops and delicious places to eat.

As soon as we got into town we stopped by one of my Aunt Holly and my cousin Phoebe’s restaurants (they have 3!), Simply Gourmet. They have 46 sandwiches named after the 46 peaks in the Adirondacks.

And the sandwiches are incredible. You should definitely hit this place up if you’re ever in the area. And I’m not just saying this cause I’m related or anything. I’m totally a lover of sandwiches and these are just amazing.

Other awesome restaurants in LP (also owned by my family):

Big Mountain Deli and Creperie

Gordo’s Mexican

Seriously delicious. I mean it.

For our trip we stayed in a great condo right in Lake Placid. It was so cozy and the perfect place to relax and stay warm by the fireplace. Especially since a snow storm came our way Friday!

It was great to be back in Lake Placid, and the Empire State Games were taking place so we had an excuse to stop by the rinks and watch the figure skating!

GO USA!

Loved spending time with my cousins! I only get to see them a few times a year, so when I do it’s a treat.

On Saturday we headed out to Keene to see more of my cousins (I have 15 first cousins on my dad’s side!) and to visit my Aunt Holly’s house for Phoebe’s son little Jackson’s 1st birthday party. He’s so super cute and Phoebe did an amazing job with the cake… check it out!

A bobsled! I love it!!

A great weekend with family. Loved every minute and can’t wait to go back!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGSIE!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister!

The best and most terrific person in the world!!!

LOVE YOU MEGS.

Forever and always and ever and ever.

XOXO.
