things i saw, things i love

Happy weekend, friends!!! Hope you enjoy these gems I came across this week….

xoxo!

What an adorable idea for a party or celebration! I love the DIY chalkboard signs. Cutest seen @ heygorg.com

If I could wake up in this bed my world would be complete. LOVE the hanging paper balls! I wonder if they light up? Love the wooden walls, LOVE the bedding! To die for! Spotted at Beach Bungalow 8

Are rain boots suffocating you in warm spring weather? As much as I love my Hunter Boots, I know sometimes I feel like they are suffocating me. Check out these adorable ballet flats I saw on Pinterest via Real Simple. They’re plastic, which means they are perfect for the rain, AND they can be recycled once worn out!

Speaking of shoes, I think these peep toes spotted at ETSY are just about the most divine heels ever. No words for these beauties. Just my favorite.

Lately I have been itching to make a casserole. Something different and delicious and I think this goat cheese and swiss chard casserole might be just the ticket to please my casserole-loving heart. I am OBSESSED with goat cheese (ie like to eat it with a spoon), and I hope to make this recipe from The Kitchn soon! YUM!

I found this gorgeous photography by Rachel Papo featuring costumes from the NYC Ballet’s Nutcracker. To me, there is nothing more fascinating and stunning than the art of ballet and I have extremely fond memories of dancing and performing (in the Nutcracker!) from my high school years. I love this picture. It captures the “behind the scenes of a dressing room” perfectly.

And last, but certainly not least are these perfectly small zipper pouches from Gussy Sews. I love all of Gussy’s work and these pouches would be perfect for loose change or lip gloss. The prints and patterns are so pretty and, of course, I can’t help but love the ruffles.

Hope you’re Saturday is lovely. It’s pretty grey here and awfully cold and windy, so I’ve been sitting around/napping all day. Just what weekends are for!

Here, here, everyone! Time to give a toast out to Hannah and Todd and the purchase of their very first house! CHEERS to my friends in the glorious state that is Maine.

On top of buying a new house, they’ve also started a new blog, and an awesome one at that. Go ahead and take a peak at Touching up Taglewood. You can read up on their wedding story, see pictures of their dog Hobart and feline Finley, browse through their ginormous to-do list, and see what their up to in terms of projects as they tackle the ups and downs of fixing up their first home.

Congratulations, H + T!! Love the blog and love YOU. Can’t wait to keep reading!

Happy Friday, my friends! We finally made it and it feels sooooo goooooood. I hope you’ve had a great week and are looking forward to an even better weekend, whether it be relaxing (like me!) or having an exciting adventure. Whichever it is, I think we can all say weekends are the BEST.

What have you found in the blogging world this week? Here are some of my faves!

How fun are these McFancy packaging creations done by Amy Moss of Eat Drink Chic? How creative and amazing! Check out more high end designer inspired Micky D’s packaging over at Amy’s blog post here. You can’t help but love them and maybe even crave a side of fries?!

I love this outfit featured on A Cup of Jo. Actually, I’m in love with the whole scene. The books and sunshine and the idea of summer afternoons. What a life.

I need an inspiration board like this one. Functional and fun. Plus I like that kind of messy creative look. Via Oh Happy Day!

Pretzels are so satisfying and salty and delicious. I like to eat mine with yellow mustard best! MMM. I hope to make my own someday soon with this new recipe I found at elephantine: Mall Pretzels! Eeee!

This simple summer dress is seersucker fabulous. I love the color and and the ginormous bow. This dress is beautiful. Seen over at Pretty Stuff via Tumbler.

This collection of wrapping paper spotted over at Tiny White Daisies is so fun and creative. Right now my wrapping paper rolls are stuffed under a day bed out of sight. I like the idea of displaying them in your home (in an office or by a desk area) to bring a pop of color to a room.

Have a great one! xo!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the weekend. I’m also ready to say HELLO, dear friend! to spring.

Where are you spring? I need you in my life. Like NOW.

Here’s a list of some of my faves from this week…

I don’t know what you’ll be up to this weekend, but if your looking for me I’ll be in my kitchen making this pretty masterpiece, seen and instantly loved over at Joy the Baker. Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread, you and me were meant to be. I know this will be the highlight of my weekend and I am beyond excited about it.

This room is light, modern, and beautiful. Bright Bazaar never fails to please when it comes to design.

I’ve been following Making it Lovely for awhile now, and I just LOVE the monthly photo project she is doing with her little girl (and now again with her new baby boy!). Each month she snaps a photo in the same spot and it’s so miraculous to see how babies grow so fast! What a terrific idea and such an incredible keepsake.

These mason jar chandeliers are precious!!! What a fabulous idea by BootsNGus seen via Meg’s Musings.

This gorgeous print, by Denise Levy, is so bold and lovely. The bright yellow brings me a feeling of energy and the bicycle and flowers bring happy thoughts of warmer weather.

Besides making the insanely delicious cinnamon pull-apart bread, I’ll be wishing happy spring thoughts this weekend. LOTS of them. Hope you have a good one! xo.
