anthro kitchen goodies

Looking through the home section of anthropologie just never gets old. I have some of the goodies pictured above (mugs and measuring shells) and they add a little touch of lovely to my every day kitchen routine. Slowly but surely I’m adding to my collection in the hopes of having an anthro/vintage inspired kitchen. The bright colors and unique patterns just fit my personality to a tee.

What’s your kitchen style?

Hope you’re having a sunny Sunday!

Hannah’s kitchen

Visiting Maine this weekend was terrific. I love how I can decide to go on short notice and it takes me no time at all to arrive in vacationland. My friends Hannah and Todd live in Portland, which is such a fun place to be. Of course there is a lot to see and do around Portland, but I also love just catching up at Han’s apartment. I especially love the simplicity of Hannah and Todd’s kitchen. I love the old sink and the bright yellow walls. I get such a cheery feeling every time I visit, which is probably more because I’m with my friend than the color of the walls, but I’m pretty sure the yellow’s got something to do with it too.

Also, check out the kitchen chairs she upholstered herself:

Adorable!!!!

when I grow up

I love to daydream about the house I will have when I grow up. Technically, I guess I am a grown up already, but very often I don’t feel like one. Not a real grown up anyways. I’m simply a pretend one at the moment.

When I do have a house someday I want to have open shelves. They look so country chic and what a perfect way to display all of my colorful pots, pans, and bowls!!

Here are some examples of open shelves I LOVE:

sale of the day at garnet hill!

I have a small (i.e. large) obsession with bedding. Specifically, with quilts.

Today I discovered the above Lilly Pullitzer quilt and shams, in the EXACT colors of my bedroom, for $300 dollars (!!) off via the Garnet Hill “Sale of the Day”. $36 for the quilt and two shams. I am not lying to you. I am bringing you the best news of your life.

Sale of the Day happens every day and the Friday sale lasts all weekend. This means that you have two more days to pick up this fun quilt for yourself. So bold and summery. I love pink and orange together.
