instagram link-up

I think I captured Cape Cod pretty perfectly last week through my instagram photos. I couldn’t take enough pictures of the water (as is quite evident below!). The photo above is my favorite because it’s just so simple, which is exactly what I love about the sea. The water is sparking too, which makes it seem like some kind of magic.

Ahh, seashore, glorious seashore.

Hope you had a lovely Monday!

Well, like I suspected, I couldn’t stay away. Also, it’s a drizzly morning here in Cape Cod so I’m reading some blogs and cozy-ing up on the couch. I saw this fun link-up from a {little} dash of ash and I had to join in! The photo above is one of my favorites from this summer of instagramming. I love the plate (found at HomeGoods) and blueberries are one of my favorite summer fruits. I can eat the whole carton in a day if I don’t watch myself!

If you’re following me on instagram, then you know I’m addicted. There was simply no way I could choose just one photo to post today (I take way too many), so I decided to choose my favorites from the past couple of weeks.

This photo sharing app has changed my world. I love capturing little snippets of my days that before I passed by without noticing. You can make anything ordinary suddenly unique, and your life instantly seems more detailed and interesting. But then again, maybe life always was this interesting– and now we’re just taking the time to pay more attention to the little things around us.

a tampa picture book

Well I’m back home now here in Boston and am sure glad the sun is shining or this day would be a whole lot harder. 45 degrees has got NOTHIN on 85. And that’s the plain truth.

My trip down to Tampa was so nice. I got beautiful weather the first two days of my trip (it rained quite a bit yesterday, but ya can’t win ’em all), we made some delicious dinners, and I got some really great quality time in with my friend. Being down there makes me miss her more up here. Caroline and I lived in Boston together the first two years out of college, so having her gone is tough, but being able to visit her in sunny FL has got its advantages too of course!

Here’s a little instagr.am picture book of my trip. I got so many great pictures on both my phone and my DSLR. Being obsessed with your iPhone and taking pictures is a good thing for the memories!

Flying with C was definitely the highlight of the trip. What an experience!

We stopped in Boca and took a ride to Delray Beach to have lunch and get some yummy ice cream!

Caroline and Peter took me to some of their favorite food spots, Pete and I hung out at the “hanger” watching Cal practice her pilot moves, and we also did a bit of shopping (a given when we’re together).

I got some sweet new TOMS and plan on sending these pics of me and the flag to the TOMS website. For every pair of shoes bought TOMS donates a pair of shoes to a child in need. Love supporting this cause!

We drank margarita’s and a good amount of red wine. And we made two delicious meals that bring back memories for us both. My mom’s chicken paprika (my FAV) and salmon burgers with sweet potato fries. In memory of our favorite dinner spot in college– PORTS!

Cal and Peter’s dog Penny is ADORABLE!! We became fast friends and she even gave me kisses.

I went kinda crazy with my instar.am in Cal’s house. I loved taking pictures of the little things. Her office is my favorite room, it’s so practical and fun with bookshelves surrounding the whole room.

Thanks for a great trip friend! Love to you always!
