wine and moe-mosas!

I adored every second of my weekend in Upstate New York just a few weekends ago. Spring in the Finger Lakes is glorious and this weekend’s company, plus the amazing weather, was simply wonderful. The forecast mentioned rain, but the showers were no where in sight as the sun shined down on us for much of the day.

Here are some highlights from our day visiting the wineries to celebrate the upcoming wedding of the beautiful Maureen…

Perfect. Weekend.

To top the night off we headed to downtown Syracuse to get some dance moves in. Naturally!

Weekends with old friends are my favorite. See you in two months, ladies!

a relaxing weekend and new furniture to boot!

It was a great weekend filled with a little bit of everything and not much of anything. I love these types of weekends best of all. Nothing planned, no where to be.

The highlight was definitely my thrift store find. A delicious Nantucket-y red 3-piece set (couch, love-seat, chair… and an ottoman for good measure!) for a eye-popping $99. I feel like I won the lottery.

And it’s glorious.

Zanner and I will be moving to a new apartment in the fall. I’m so excited I could burst. Right now I own a 3-piece furniture set from IKEA and that’s held it’s own for a good 6 years now, but I’m ready for a change. I’ve learned that I’m more of a color-loving girl and this bright couch certainly does the trick. I can’t wait to add patterned throw pillows and find complementary curtains and the like.

I’m envisioning an anthropologie inspired look. My heart is smiling just at the thought of it.

I spent the better part of the afternoon just lying on the big couch in the sunshine, reveling in my luck. Next step is to give the furniture a good thorough wash. Yeee-haw. What a steal!

be back next week…

I’m super busy this week getting ready for our end of the year event! I’ll be back when I can breathe again!!

Updates to come:

Have a good week and HAPPY JUNE!
