A night out with the Boogies.

Last night I very excitedly went out to meet up with erin and ee: my friends, my lovers, my boogers. I met these amazing girls my junior year in college and very quickly after we met we knew we were meant to be friends for life. And so we spent the rest of our college days singing and nanner dancing and singing and nanner dancing some more. Ahh, the memories.

{EE has been living in San Diego for the past 4 years and this summer she will be traveling cross country to move back over to the east coast! I can’t even believe it– she’s really going to be my neighbor. FOR REAL.}

It was such a fun night last night. We had dinner and drinks at a new place in Fenway, Remy’s Sports Bar. Named after the famous Jerry Remy, major league baseball sports broadcaster and former 2nd baseman for the Boston Red Sox. The restaurant was really cool, with views of Fenway and delicious food. It’ll be super fun (but packed, I’m sure) to go to during games this spring and summer. GO SOX!

After drinks we headed over to Southie and continued to love each other until the wee hours of the morning. Because that’s just what lovers do: they love each other. What a great night. It’s ALWAYS better when we’re together.

Great times with KPrime.

Oh Kprime, how I love thee. This weekend on my way to Brooklyn for Bailey’s shower I took a detour to the Upper East Side. I just needed to see my friend, Katie (aka Kprime). For both of my trips to NY in the past 2 months I’ve made sure to stop on by her neck of the woods to grab dinner and drinks and catch up. Life gets so busy we don’t get together too often so when there’s an opportunity to see her I WILL NOT pass it up.
The first time I visited this year we stayed on her side of town and enjoyed a nice meal at Fetch on 3rd Avenue. They had really fun drinks and I had a delicious order of buffalo chicken quesadillas. Katie and her friend Sam ordered the Beef Stew over egg noodles, which looked and tasted delicious. What a fun little place to try on a Thursday night in the city!

This past weekend, while back in NY for wedding festivities, again I took the route to Brooklyn via Katie’s apartment. This time she made reservations in the East Village with a bunch of her friends from NY. We went to La Palapa, a cute Mexican restaurant with the most delicious Margaritas. YUM! We got pitchers of both the pomegranate and blueberry and I think we all thoroughly enjoyed both flavors. My meal was excellent: TINGA DE POLLO chile chipotle barbequed chicken and BISTEC char-grilled marinated skirt steak. Yummy yummy quesadillas (yes, I love quesadillas) and a side of corn sauteed with epazote (grilled onions). The entire experience was muy bien. Highly recommended if you live in NY!

Bachelorette Bonanza.

This weekend I am back in Brooklyn, visiting Bails and Beck and getting excited for Bailey’s Bridal Shower today in Long Island City! But I realized I never posted about the Bachelorette Bonanza that happened just a few short weeks ago. It’s been so exciting getting all together for these celebrations– spending good time with great friends. The Bachelorette weekend proved to be a success! The meal was delicious, the Sangria was flowing, and we ended the night with karaoke (which was a blast, not to mention hilariously funny). Here’s a mini-recap of the weekend:
A little reunion at Bailey’s Brooklyn apartment before the festivities begin. Joya was aplenty. Delicious AND delicious.

The next day followed with mani/pedis at Dashing Diva and with pink champagne!!!!

The night was fabulous. We had dinner at Calle Ocho on the Upper West Side and it was absolutely perfect. Afterwards we headed out on the town!! An amazing party for an amazing friend!!

The Regal Beagle

Last Tuesday my east coast booger Erin and I went out for a yummy little dinner at a new restaurant in Coolidge Corner: The Regal Beagle. It was so cute and cozy inside and the menu is fun and delicious. The walls are lined with a red decorative wallpaper which makes you feel as if your in an old saloon. They pass out postcards with the picture of dogs playing poker (above) and it’s the perfect way to describe the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Here’s a look at the menu:
Yummy.

Yummier.

Yummiest.

It was so fun to try a new place and catch up with my pretty Aaron. She’s such a special friend. I love her so.
