Pomodoro

Went to dinner tonight at Pomodoro in Brookline Village. Oh. So. Delicious. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the food is excellent. We all tried something different and everyone was satisfied with their meal. I ordered a pasta dish with pork and butternut squash, Meg went with the scallops, and Lauren had shrimp risotto.
And the best part? Dessert. We ordered a Tiramisu for the table and were pleasantly surprised when our waiter brought over one of each of the deserts for us to try. LUCKY!

Don’t know what any of the deserts were called, but I do know they were heavenly. I was so full afterwards I felt slightly nauceous, but in the best way possible. Love delicious food!
Oh, and what better opportunity than this to get a new roomates picture… here we are!

alphabeasties.

alphabeasties (and other amazing types).
This is an adorable book that I came across the other day while babysitting. It’s an animal alphabet book and each of the animals is created with the use of the letters that they begin with. Super unique and creative! I’m a lover of children’s books so I thought I would start adding some fun children’s literature to my blog. You can buy this book through amazon, and probably your local barnes and noble as well (I’m partial to my local bookstore, Brookline Booksmith, but sometimes they don’t carry certain books). I’ll include a few pictures from the book so you can get an idea of how cute it is!

Brookline Lunch

For the past 2 Sundays, Zan and I have been heading over to Central Square in Cambridge to get our breakfast fix at Brookline Lunch. This place is a diamond in the rough. It’s food is fantastic and the atmosphere a little alternative, which is fun and different from my usual style. The place is super quirky—nothing matches, the ceiling is painted and drawn on, and local artwork hangs on the exposed brick walls. The wait staff is efficient enough and it’s pretty quick getting in and out of there, even if you do have to wait a couple minutes to get a table. Last week I ordered the eggs benedict. YUM. This week Zan opted for the steak benedict (amazing) and I went with the special: chocolate chip pancakes. They were oh so chocolatey and oh so delicious. Three huge pancakes stacked on top of each other…I didn’t have a chance of making it even halfway through so Zan got lucky and got to eat his meal, plus they remainder of mine. Clearly, he enjoyed himself. In fact he gave it two thumbs up. I second that!

cardigans.

Yesterday, while at the Atrium Mall, I bought 2 new cardigans for my collection. I love the colors. Very neutral. Very fall.
This color is called antique stone.

And this one is called buff pink. A little hard to tell it’s pink from the picture but it’s PRECIOUS.

And, I must add the item Meg purchased. Because it’s also precious. Looks great on too:

Oh, jcrew… how we love you.
