I WANT.

I was twittering the other day when design*sponge told me about a clothing company called Spool No. 72. One look at their website and I was in heaven. There pieces are well crafted, “a unfussy classic American style”. I LOVE. I WANT.
Have a look at these items of clothing I discovered
(you will want them too):

“A delicate blue and white pinstripe silk is the perfect base for a bright embroidery.”

“A soft cotton base is the sweetest backdrop for delicate embroidered and beaded details. Three button detail front, darling stitch pockets, and the sweetest stretch sleeves.”

As you may know, I am not allowed to buy these precious clothes (although the urge is almost unbearable). But just because I can’t buy certainly doesn’t mean I can’t look. And, really, I’m just doing you a favor letting you know about these gorgeous items in case you have the desire to buy them for yourself (or for me).

Busy, busy, busy.

I was so so busy last week I hardly had any time to blog. These next couple of months are going to be jam packed with stuff, but I am determined to make it out alive. Although most likely, I won’t be blogging as much as I have been, I still hope to get a post in from time to time– it’s such a creative outlet for me (in a virtually-artsy kind of way) and something I have grown proud of. I’m a writer! Who knew?!

Here’s what I’ll be up to this semester:
  • I’m taking 4 grad school classes
  • I’ll be volunteering 3 mornings a week in a first grade classroom
  • Hanging out with Wyatt and Asa… my little love bunnies
  • Watching the very last season of LOST
  • Dancing the night away at Bailey’s wedding in April !
  • Working on a new blog: letsreadtogether.wordpress.com (I’ll be tracking my life as a young teacher… posting about new information I’ve learned, classroom tips, children’s literature reviews and other interesting info about working with kids)
I’m excited, stressed, and exhausted about the idea of all I have to do. It’s gonna be a whirlwind semester that’s for sure. Luckily, I do enjoy everything that I am doing (yes, even the classes part) and so hopefully it will make the craziness bearable. Wish me luck!

Crazy Times

Sorry for being MIA.
This week was just CRAAAZY!! I started up with classes again and boy is it gonna be a busy one.
I feel a lot like Olivia looks in these pictures:

You know, like skittering around on a scooter, kicking a soccer ball, and playing with cats (EEK!). Well, not really, but something like that.

Anyways, I hope YOU had a good week!
Have a great Friday.
And a SUPER weekend!!!

xoxo.

WICKED!

Back from the cuse and what a wonderful weekend it was.

The best part: I went to see my first ever show of the broadway musical WICKED. INCREDIBLE!!! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, loving the characters and the story line, and especially the music. It’s a spin off the classic Wizard of Oz. A very clever tale of Glinda the “good witch” and the “wicked witch of the west”, Elphaba.

Amazing. Fantastic. Brilliant.

I think this one has moved up to the top of my list of favorites, everyone. It’s official.
