Good Morning!

Good morning, dear readers! What would you give to still be lying in bed right now? I would give a heck of a lot, that I am sure.

I love this porch-swing bed. Imagine waking up here on a warm summer’s morning. What a dream. I especially love this quilt. It’s so colorful and happy. And it matches my room. Not like I need any more quilts (3 and counting…), but a good quilt is hard to come by.
And this is a good quilt.

A great quilt. A quality quilt.

A cozy quilt.
An oh so pretty quilt.

LOVE.

Eating Local.

I want this book.

I want to eat local foods every day and every night.
I want to be Barbara Kingsolver and have my own garden and raise my own chickens and have a husband who bakes bread daily and a daughter who cans tomatoes and I want to be able to make my own cheese.
Mmmm. Maybe someday.
For now the only things local I am eating are Zan’s strawberries and some veggies from the farmers market. I feel so busy and too overwhelmed to commit myself to eating only local foods, although it’s something I would love to do. Plus, I have absolutely NO land to call my own. Grass hardly exists on my street.
Luckily, there are so many farmers markets in Boston that there is no excuse for me not to eat mostly local this summer. Summer is, after all, the time to do it (winter is the hard part). I’m going to give it a try and see how it goes. Who’s with me?

a touch of fun for your laptop…

I’m thinking about getting a “skin” for my MacBook. They’re all the rage if you haven’t heard. They add a little personality to any computer and can be found in many different patterns and pictures. They can also be easily removed without leaving any residue, which is VERY important to me, as I am ridiculously in love with my computer. I’ve found a few that I really like and it’ll just be a matter of time before I order one. Which one do you like best?

(Fun. Colorful. Polka Dots.)

(close to my heart.)

(not sure if this is really my style– but I think it’s super cool.)

(Very me. I had a poster of this in college.)

(whimsical and cute)

(LOVE this one. Totally my favorite. Totally fun!)

bathing beauty…

Just purchased my 2010 summer swim suit!!! I’m obsessed with this bathing suit and will be jumping for joy when it arrives in the mail. Glooooooorious.

“Everything’s better with a bit of ruching. This sexy tank is one of our new favorites, with a sophisticated, oh-so-flattering shape in a smattering of summer brights.” -j.crew

Also threw this summer straw sun hat into the cart while I was at it. After some debating I’ve decided this hat was always the right choice for me. It’s simple and classic. A perfect match for my beach reading and a thorough lather of sunscreen.

you’re very welcome, jcrew. anything for you. ♥♥♥
