the best idea.

We day-tripped it to the Cape this weekend and it was aaamazing. Beyond amazing if that’s even possible for February. Zan’s been away for work all week so I gathered up Meg and Lauren and convinced them that going to Chatham for the day was the best idea since Ruffles potato chips in PB&J. (I only needed to say Cape Cod and they both were sold instantly).

I can’t help but wonder why I’ve never done a winter weekend day-trip like this before. I could not have been happier Saturday. From the second we arrived til the moment we left I was in this wonderful trance. This place of pure bliss. I could feel it in the smile on my face and the warmth in my heart.

I was taken back to summer, my one and only.

It didn’t matter that it was freezing, the sun and sand were enough.

Enough to last me until August, or sooner if I’m lucky.

  2. i saw your other pictures on instagram and loved them. looks like such a beautiful day. especially if it can compare to ruffles on a pb&j sammie!

  3. Is that you or your sister? Either way, it is a beautiful shot, love the hat and scarf, and every time I see a picture of either of you, I get major hair envy.

    xoxo

  4. What a gorgeous photo and what a fantastic idea!! Need to get to the beach, I don’t care how cold it is outside.

  5. Gorgeous photo!! I’m sure it was a blissful day!

  6. P.s. I’ve added you to my blogroll Anna :)

  7. I was telling my cousin a few weeks ago that I really wanted to go to the beach, and she was like, “Why? It’s cold there now…and really windy.” I said, “So, just dress warm!” I’ve been craving the beach since November, maybe earlier than that. Usually I’m glad for the change of weather, because it can get so incredibly hot in South Carolina, but I haven’t wanted winter to come. I read the other day we probably won’t get one. Fine with me! :)

  8. Can you bring me with you next time? Pretty please? I promise to bring baked goods and introduce you to new Flo Rida songs.
