Etsy: Buy Handmade!

So my Friend told me about this great website where you can buy handmade jewelry and other things handmade/vintage. It’s Etsy: your place to buy and sell all things handmade. She bought our fabulous bridesmaid necklaces from here (which I ADORE) and I know she has also had luck with other purchases she has made. I’ve been browsing the website for awhile tonight and so far I love everything I see! I particularly love this yarn flower headband, super fun and like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s so unique I just love it, which is like most items on Etsy… so many awesome handmade treasures at low prices– so check it out!

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls… YUM-MMY.

How delicious are these crescent rolls? They are absurdly delicious. If you have never tried these rolls, made by the dough boy himself, then you need to run out to the store right now and buy some. (Note: Original flavor is the ONLY way to go. Butter flake and reduced fat are simply horrid so do not even try them.) The crescent rolls are best enjoyed when right out of the oven (about 350 degrees for 9 minutes, I think)… I usually undercook them ever so slightly because #1) you do NOT want them burned (just a perfect golden color) and #2) you do not want them to be too flaky because that would TOTALLY defeat the purpose of the tag line: “Flaky on the outside, soft on the inside!”. And that is the best part of these rolls, the soft, buttery taste that enters your mouth when you take a bite. YUMMMM.

And how cute is the little dough boy? Sightly creepy, but still, something about hearing him laugh just makes me want to tickle his tummy just like that lady in the commercial.

Chatham Bars Inn

Yesterday we had a girls lunch at the Chatham Bars Inn!! It was LOVELY! I was so excited to go because I have been driving past the CBI for the past 3 summers in awe of it’s beauty. We were lucky enough to get a table right on the veranda overlooking the water. Gorgeous! The meal was good (I got a ham and gruyere panini w/ fries and lemonade)

but the real highlight of the lunch was dessert. 100% delicious. We ordered the berry pie with vanilla bean ice cream, creme brulee with mini macaroon cookies, and rich chocolate cake with berries. DELISH! The chocolate cake was so heavenly I ate the whole thing. It was so moist and chocolatey I wished I could have had another piece. YUM. After lunch, Lauren, Meg and I spent the better part of an hour sitting on white adirondack chairs chatting and catching some sweet summer rays. It was a great afternoon!
