Some things cold and sugary and delicious.

This weekend in the Bean was beyond gorgeous. We’re talking 70 degrees and sunny. On Saturday I was wearing a sleeveless shirt. No sleeves! And I was perfectly comfortable! Heaven. I bet it’s like that in heaven. I know in my heaven it will be that’s for sure. Aaaanyways. Warm weather calls for cool treats. And I sure got my fair share of them this weekend.

Let’s start with ice cream. YUMMY yummy ice cream. So creamy and delicious and fattening. I love it. My favorite? JP Licks Oreo Ice Cream. It is devine. It’s literally like mushed up oreos and milk. The taste is indescribably spectacular. Superb. Fabulous. Ok, ok.. you get it.

Next up? Smoothies. Oh, fruity smoothies you are so good.

Berry Freeze is the newest frozen yogurt joint to hit Coolidge Corner. This phenomenon has been around NYC for a few years, but we over here in Boston– we lag a bit with the trends. It’s a great idea though and I’m glad it’s finally caught on over here… makes you feel slightly less guilty as opposed to eating ice cream. But still, only slightly. They have an amazing fruit bar filled with glorious amounts of fruits and nuts and sugary cereals and CHOCOLATE.

Looks good doesn’t it? Mmm hmm it does.

MMMm chocolate. Hotel Chocolat.

I need to tell you about this really fun and really delicious chocolatier on Newbury Street. Hotel Chocolat. A chocolate store, not a hotel. But boy, wouldn’t that be a treat if it was! Although, if it was a hotel I’m sure I would never be able to stay there for real. Only in my dreams. The chocolate is pretty pricy so I can only imagine what a night at the hotel would cost. It’s fun to think about though. Chocolate, chocolate, everywhere. I love chocolate. Yes I do. I got this little container of Tiddly Pots for a gift. So cute and so small! They are like little tiny buttons you might find on a cardigan. Perfectly sized. Perfectly delicious.
They have so many yummy looking treats and everything is so creative. I just love stuff like this. Great gift ideas for anyone who loves chocolate. MMmm. Mmmmmmm.

Chocolate Chip Scones

For a few days now, I have been craving scones. I think it was after I had a delicious cinnamon scone in Starbucks one morning. After I finished the delicious scone I thought to myself: I bet I can make scones too. You know, because I am a baker and all.
So I set out to find a scones recipe. After googling “recipe for scones” and coming up with NADA I decided to turn to Pioneer Woman’s Tasty Kitchen Website. It sure has a lot of tasty recipes. And there it was, RIGHT on the top of the page! Chocolate Chip Scones. I looked no further. I had found the jackpot.
Delicious. Tasty. Easy.

BROWNIES

Oh, yes. I made brownies the other night. I made my special recipe. It’s so delicious, it’s by Duncan Hines. Do you know it?

All you have to do is mix eggs, water, vegetable, oil and brownie mix and your done. I’m sorry if you’re one for homemade brownies. I appreciate that you make them homemade, I really do. But for me, this stuff is magic. The brownies are so gooey and moist and delicious. Plus the batter is insane. I could eat the whole thing with a spoon. YUMM-O. Yummmmm.

I love you, Duncan Hines. You rock.
