Happy Birthday, Norman Rockwell

Did you happen to google anything today? If so, you may have seen this google doodle:
It’s so precious.

Here’s the article about why they chose this google doodle for today… it’s Norman Rockwell’s birthday. This painting called “little spooners” was one of his most popular. I agree, it’s one of my favorites. Back to the good old days…

The month of looooove…

Happy February!! I can’t believe how fast January went by! It seems like only yesterday I was ringing in the new year in Brooklyn, wearing my fancy crown and sipping on champagne. Well, we are now finished with the month of celebration and new beginnings and on to the month of loooove. Since Valentine’s day is closer than you think I thought I would lead you to some fun artists on Etsy with printable valentines for you to purchase. Cause not everyone has time (or enough creativity) to make their own (and the valentines they have in the drugstores are LAME). Here’s some super cute ideas for you to consider….

The Quarter-Life Cooks

Do you know Phoebe and Cara, the Quarter-Life Cooks?
They’re 2 twenty-something ladies living in New York, cooking in their kitchens, and writing a great food blog about their adventures. The two friends post all sorts of recipes from cooking for one to cooking for many all from their teeny tiny NY kitchens. They give all the details of their gatherings: the party size, ingredients, special tips, and always a recap of the event itself. I just love these girls. I wish I was their friend so I could attend one of their Park Slope parties! (Beck and Bails, maybe you could get the in with these girls?) Looks delicious and so much fun.
Check out their blog and see for yourself: Big Girls, Small Kitchen. Whether your in your quarter-life or not there’s something for everyone.
